Mistie Thompson heads Catalyst’s social media efforts, integrating social media seamlessly into PR programs.  In her ten years at St. Louis-based marketing firm Standing Partnership, Mistie provided strategic communications program development, video production, crisis communications counsel, professional writing services, and digital communications strategy to clients from a variety of industries, including TWA/American Airlines, Sisters of Mercy, Maritz, Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital, Monsanto, the St. Louis County Economic Council and the Charlottesville-Albemarle (Va.) Airport.

Mistie holds an undergraduate degree in history from the University of Arkansas and a master’s in social work from Washington University in St. Louis.  She completed her master’s practicum at the Child Welfare League in Washington, D.C., working on mental health managed care issues.  Mistie is an active blogger, an aspiring author and serves on the board of Living Water Academy, a Pre-K-8th grade Christian school in Wildwood, Mo.
